Electric truck charging at Port Entry

Charging Infrastructure and alternative fuels

The Port of Gothenburg is a vital hub for the transition to fossil-free transport. Through investments in charging infrastructure and a hydrogen refueling station, we support sustainable development for heavy vehicles operating in the port.

High-capacity charging stations for electric trucks

At Circle K Vädermotet and Port Entry, charging stations with a capacity of up to 360 kW are available. These strategically located charging points enable drivers to quickly and conveniently charge their electric trucks.

Priority handling for electric trucks in the container terminal
Since March 2023, electric trucks have been granted priority access at APM Terminals. A dedicated lane and fast handling process ensure efficient operations, minimizing waiting times and simplifying logistics planning for vehicles with limited range. Read more about priority handling here.

Green Hydrogen for heavy-duty vehicles

Near Gate 6, next to Gothenburg RoRo Terminal, a hydrogen refueling station delivers green hydrogen exclusively for heavy-duty vehicles. Located at one of Sweden’s most truck-intensive areas, this station facilitates the transition for heavy traffic.
