Road access to the Port of Gothenburg

The Port of Gothenburg is strategically located in the heart of Scandinavia, with excellent road connections that make transporting goods to and from the port seamless.

Efficient road connections across Scandinavia

The E6 motorway connects Gothenburg to Oslo and Copenhagen within 3–4 hours. Highway 40 and E4/E20 link the port to the Stockholm area in approximately 5–6 hours. For transport heading north, the E45 via Karlstad is the best option.

Streamlined ID checks at Port Entry

All truck drivers pass through Port Entry, the port's centralized gateway to dry cargo terminals (except for Stena Line). Here, a unified ID check ensures smooth traffic flow and simplifies navigation within the port area. Read more about Port Entry here.
