Port of Gothenburg participates in the Interreg project Value4Sea
The Value4Sea project aims to identify improvement opportunities in transport chains and develop sustainable port terminal concepts based on autonomous transport units. The project also addresses concept models for CO2 footprints in transport chains and digital prototypes for integrating systems within customs and logistics.
The project involves actors and knowledge providers from the logistics chain, along with research partners from Norway, Sweden, and Denmark, contributing expertise, data, and experience in areas such as logistics, transport, simulation, terminal systems, and customs systems.
The project includes 19 participants and has a budget of 2.7 million euros. Interreg ØKS supports the project with 1.25 million euros, while Interreg Norway has contributed 0.3 million euros.

Port of Gothenburg’s contribution to the project
The Port of Gothenburg is actively involved in the work package focused on information exchange for inland transport. This includes studying the effects of track-and-trace solutions and analyzing information-gathering needs within the transport chain. We also contribute expertise and insights on autonomous transport solutions for ports and participate in the consortium’s knowledge exchange.
